During his 17 year career in banking, Ian’s responsibilities included relationship management of many of the major oil and natural resource companies. He created and ran one of the first Innovation Units in Europe, and was responsible for introducing coaching into the Barclays Group.
An independent consultant for more than 15 years, he has worked in the US and Europe, specialising in leadership development and coaching. His work in education includes projects in a US Charter School, the DfES Innovation Unit, the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust, and the Swedish school group Kunskapsskolan.
His focus as leader of Glowinkowski’s Education team is to research, design and deliver bespoke leadership programmes with schools and Academies. As well as enabling transformations to organisational climate and radical improvements in student attainment, he is responsible for producing specific pedagogic research.
