IMPACT programme Who are they? The development arm of CIO Connect – the networking association for CIOs in the UK. They provide a number of programmes with strategic partners to help develop CIOs and their teams across the UK. They also sponsored the work which we undertook on developing a competency framework for CIOs. Why are they a partner? In developing a CIO competency framework we worked in partnership with Impact as sponsors, and thus had access to a wide range of individuals. Sailnet Who are they? An organisation that specialises in Sailing activities based in Brighton. They can accommodate teams of up to 30 people for a real experience of what it is like for a team to operate well together under, sometimes, tough conditions. It also tests leadership in such conditions. Why are they a partner? We recognise that team building events do need to have the element of fun as well, but with real purpose. It is useful for people to test out what they have learnt about themselves and others. This is often best done in a situation where they are pushed and have to operate out of their comfort zone. CIO Development Who are they? An organisation founded by Brinley Platts to research improved models of CIO career development and to help IT executives break through into the top levels of business through coaching and workshops. Why are they a partner? In the space of coaching and career management, it is important to have a good working relationship and also to bring a range of approaches that are very personal to individuals. Who are they? Asia Academy provides consulting and training services. It is a member of the TR21 Business Network that is based in Singapore serving China, Japan, Australia and South East Asia.
